Flea & Tick Control
Fleas are pests of humans and their domestic animals. While most fleas prefer nonhuman hosts, many can and di feed readily on humans when infestations are heavy or when other hosts are not available. Their long, and powerful legs permit them to jump as high as 7 to 8 inches vertically and as far as 14 to 16 inches horizontally. A flea egg may not always be attached to the host, those laid on the ground, in nests or bedding, or in carpets, upholstery, or cracks in the floor.
Fleas are important carriers of parasites or disease organisms. Flea problems seem to peak in the spring, summer, and fall seasons, when these environmental conditions are common indoors and out. Fleas will generally be concentrated in pet resting areas outdoors because the substrate in such areas will receive a fallout of fecal material. Customer cooperation is essential to the overall success of the treatment.
Ticks feed only once and lay one large batch of eggs, often containing as many as 10,000 or more eggs. Since they cannot run, hop, fly, or more quickly, ticks must climb onto an appropriate object, such as tall grass or weeds, or up onto fences and sides of buildings to wait fore a suitable host to pass by. Ticks crawl up exterior or interior surfaces of homes and often lodge in cracks, and crevices below shingles, window moldings and so forth.

Ticks will feed on flood from a wide variety of animals, certain ticks carry the casual organisms of such diseases as Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Lyme disease, and many others.
The only species likely to become numerous or established in homes is the brown dog tick. This is primarily because all feeding states of this tick commonly feed on the domestic dog, which is typically allowed indoors.
